Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all dog walking and related dog walker pet care services provided by Paws and Me("we", "us", "our") to the client ("you", "your"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
1.1 Paws and Me provides dog walking and related pet care services as agreed at the time of booking. 1.2 Services may include individual walks, group walks, puppy visits, or other services expressly agreed in writing. 1.3 We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at our discretion where we believe it is unsafe, unlawful, or impractical to continue.
2. Bookings and Cancellations
2.1 All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Paws and Me. 2.2 Regular bookings may be scheduled on an ongoing basis unless terminated in accordance with these Terms. 2.3 Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or failure to provide access may be charged at the full rate. 2.4 We reserve the right to cancel walks due to extreme weather, illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where possible, notice will be given.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Fees are as agreed at the time of booking. 3.2 Payment is due in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. 3.3 Late or unpaid invoices may result in suspension of services until payment is received. 3.4 All prices are in pounds sterling (£).
4. Client Responsibilities
4.1 You confirm that you are the legal owner or authorised keeper of the dog. 4.2 You agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding your dog, including behaviour, health, medical conditions, and vaccination status. 4.3 You confirm that your dog is microchipped and wears a collar with an ID tag in accordance with UK law. 4.4 You must ensure safe and reasonable access to your property at the agreed times.
5. Dog Behaviour and Health
5.1 Dogs must be suitably trained and socialised for group walks where applicable. 5.2 You must inform Paws and Me of any history of aggression, anxiety, or behavioural issues. 5.3 We reserve the right to require individual walks or terminate services where behaviour presents a safety risk. 5.4 Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious illness at the time of the walk.
6. Leads, Off-Lead Walking, and Transport
6.1 Dogs will be walked on a lead unless prior written consent for off-lead walking has been given. 6.2 Off-lead walking is undertaken at your own risk and subject to our professional judgment. 6.3 Where transport is provided, dogs will be transported safely and securely.
7. Emergencies and Veterinary Care
7.1 In the event of an emergency, we will take reasonable steps to contact you. 7.2 If you are unreachable, you authorise Paws and Me to seek veterinary treatment for your dog. 7.3 All veterinary fees and associated costs are your responsibility.
8. Liability
8.1 Paws and Me will take all reasonable care of your dog while in our care. 8.2 We are not liable for illness, injury, loss, or death of a dog unless caused by our negligence. 8.3 We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by your dog to persons, animals, or property. 8.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any matter which cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Insurance
9.1 Paws and Me holds appropriate public liability insurance for dog walking services. 9.2 You are responsible for ensuring your dog is adequately insured where appropriate.
10. Keys and Property
10.1 Keys provided will be kept secure and used solely for the purpose of providing agreed services. 10.2 Paws and Me is not responsible for damage or security issues unless caused by negligence.
11. Data Protection
11.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation. 11.2 Client information will be used only for the purpose of providing services and will not be shared without consent unless required by law.
12. Termination
12.1 Either party may terminate services by providing one week’s written notice. 12.2 We may terminate immediately where there is a serious breach of these Terms or a safety concern.
13. Complaints
13.1 Any complaints should be raised promptly so that we can attempt to resolve them.
14. Governing Law
14.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. 14.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Amendments
15.1 Paws and Me reserves the right to amend these Terms with reasonable notice.
